Adventist College of Nursing is one of the best and premier nursing institutes situated in Bangalore, and was started in the year 2006. It is a co-educational institution in Dooravaninagar, Bengaluru, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), which provides various specialisations in nursing. The college is situated in a small area of 5 acres for the total enrolment strength of 149 students, with a team of faculties of 19 faculty members in total. The institute presents 4 courses in 2 degrees, where students can specialise in pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and medical-surgical nursing.
Adventist College of Nursing is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka. The Adventist College of Nursing is proud to offer a broad range of learning through access to the latest facilities in the college. In its training facilities, students can utilise the Fundamental Lab and Anatomy Lab, which are important in developing skills in practical nursing. Beacon provides a knowledge centre and houses various resources that are of importance in students’ academic endeavours. In terms of physical health, the college provides a gym and athletic equipment for anyone interested in sports. The campus has Wi-Fi capabilities in place, which allows the students to connect in the twenty-first century. Conferences take place in an auditorium, and many events and seminars take place on the campus. Accommodation is also a strong point in the college since students insist on having separate hostels for boys and girls, and spacious and well-furnished ones.
To this end, Adventist College of Nursing presently provides four full-time programmes with expansion to both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The B.Sc Nursing remains their flagship programme, which opens 40 seats to the qualified candidates. At the postgraduate level, the college offers an M.Sc. Degree in Paediatric Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing, and Medical Surgical Nursing, each having a strength of 05 students. The overall uptake in student intake in various courses is 55 students, which has ensured the college puts emphasis on a good student-teacher ratio for effective student learning.
