AECS Maaruti College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre popularly known as AECS is one of the leading dental college established in the year 1992 is located at Bangalore, Karnataka. Located on Hulimavu Tank Band Road this is an affiliated college that has gained recognition in the provision of dental education and learning. Affiliated to the Dental Council of India, the institute presently has several programmes dealing with the field of dentistry at the undergraduate as well as the post graduate level. The faculty at AEC is well equipped with a team of 106 members filled with professionals from every line of industry which gives the students an ideal place to learn more. Currently the college provides 10 courses at 2 different degree levels that focus on the different areas of dental sciences for the individuals interested in this branch of the profession .
AECS Maaruti College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre has several facilities that include modern facilities that will facilitate learning for every student. The campus includes boys and girls’ hostels with hostel mess that serves hygienically prepared vegetarian diets. Safety, including hostels, is of great importance, and facilities are situated within the compound of the institution. The college library is informative and stocks all sorts of dental literature, International and National Journals, and other Electronic Media related to dentistry. For current information, students are free to access computerised systems with internet facilities and CD-ROMs on different dental topics. The laboratory and equipment are also equally well developed for clinical, preclinical and basic research or any other studies.
AECS Maaruti College of Dental Sciences and Research Centre provides all kind of dental curricula. This institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate course but all are full time. The single undergraduate programme currently offered at the College is the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)with an approved capacity of One Hundred students. For postgraduate level, the college has provided different faculties of Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) which are Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics and many more. These MDS programmes are generally small, and each year admit 4 to 6 students in order to provide specialisation in different area of dentistry.
