Al-Barkaat Institute of Education, Aligarh: Admission 2026, Cutoff, Courses, Fees, Placements, Ranking

Established in 2008, Al-Barkaat Institute of Education, Aligarh is the brainchild of Aligarh Muslim University, located in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The institute is accredited by NAAC and is approved by NCTE. The institute sprawls over a 2.86-acre compact campus, offering two full-time education programmes to 173 students. There are 8 dedicated educators on its faculty roles.

The Al-Barkaat Institute of Education has a range of facilities to support student learning and development. Hostels for both boys and girls with comfort provided on campus accommodation, amenities including common room facilities, medical aid, and many more. The 5,944 books, 20 international and national journals, 10 magazines, and 4 newspapers that filled the library made it a hub of knowledge. The laboratories were well equipped for students. Moreover, events and seminars are conducted in an auditorium, and the students avail themselves of the facility of a canteen. The institute believes in health and fitness and on the campus has medical facilities offering first-aid services, free dental and skin checkup camps, and get-well room. To bridge technology needs, the computer lab with 30 multimedia PCs and internet is there for assistance. Gym and sports facilities are there to promote physical fitness. 

It offers two courses: B.Ed, which is a two years' course, and D.El.Ed. Again, both are full-time programmes. The intake of the institution is approved for 200 students annually, half for each course. 

However, in case of B.Ed programme, it is entrance test every year conducted by the State University. Fifty percent is done through counselling arranged by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, and fifty percent has been reserved for the minorities. Entrance into D.El.Ed follows the strict merit-based scheme of marking obtained in the qualifying examination and/entrance examination. It is following the state government's policy. Active alumni network of the institute is there, through which new students get engagement with the past.
