For B.Ed, admissions are made through an entrance exam held once a year by the State University. For B.Ed, the institute implements a double admission scheme, 50% by counseling done by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, and the other 50% for minority candidates.

Application Process

Application procedure for Al-Barkaat Institute of Education, Aligarh is different with course:

For B.Ed Course:

1. Candidates have to apply for the entrance exam held by the State University.

2. After clearing the entrance exam, the candidates have to go through the counseling procedure held by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, for 50% seats.

3. Minority candidates who want the reserved 50% seats may possibly have a different application procedure to be ascertained from the institute.

4. The shortlisted candidates have to report for documents submission and admission formalities as finalized by the institute.

For D.El.Ed Program:

1. The candidates should procure the application form from the institute or download the same from the official website (if available).

2. Complete the application form with correct personal and academic information.

3. Deposit the filled-in application form with supporting documents such as mark sheets of entrance exams.

4. Remit the application fee as decided by the institute.

5. In case of an entrance test, appear for the test on the given date.

6. Preparation of merit list on marks of qualifying examination and/or entrance test.

7. Shortlisted students will be called and are required to fill in the admission formalities by producing original documents and remitting fees.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed: The course of B.Ed at Al-Barkaat Institute of Education has a streamlined admission process. The intake has been approved to 100 seats. Admission to the course of B.Ed is done by an entrance test held annually by the State University. 

The admissions are of two categories:

1. 50% seats through counseling held by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra.
2. The remaining 50% of the seats are reserved for minority students.

Candidates must qualify the entrance test to be eligible for admission. Counseling process of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, determines the half of available seats.

D.El.Ed: The Diploma in Elementary Education course of Al-Barkaat Institute of Education also has an approved strength of 100 seats. Admission to D.El.Ed is based on merit and is regulated by the following rules:

1. Admission is on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entry test.
2. Admission process is as per the policy decided by the state government or UT Administration.

Applicants eligible for the selection are shortlisted on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination or entrance test, as the case may be. Final selection is strictly on merit as per the guidelines of the state government.
