Amardeep Singh Shergill Memorial College, Mukandpur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provides the facility of the hostel to girl students, which can accommodate approx. 80 girls, apart from this, facilities such as Dispensary, Common Room, and Mess are readily available at all times for the girls residing inside it. To ensure the safety of girl students, the hostel has been constructed between the faculty flats and college campuses. There is 24-hour security in the hostel, a 4 Mbps Internet connection with Wi-Fi facility, Indoor, and outdoor games available, Generator, Facility for uninterrupted power supply.

The library provides an excellent reading room facility to the students. The well-stocked, up-to-date library contains nearly 33000 books and subscribes to National and international journals. The latest publications in the fields of humanities, science, and commerce are added continuously to the collection to equip the readers with a wide range of resources. There are separate research and magazine sections, journal sections, and general reading sections. To make it convenient for the students, there is an open-shelf system. Class-wise visits of students to the library are arranged to make them able to use the library in the best possible way. The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

1. The College has a seminar hall with a seating capacity of 170 and has the right academic ambiance for the extension lectures by scholars and renowned academicians. 2. It is also being used as an Audio Visual lab. 3. Multimedia and projector facilities are available. 4. The sound system is permanently installed. 5. Use as an audio-visual lab too.

The college canteen offers much-needed respite to the students and serves a variety of snacks and drinks which are moderately priced. There is a separate arrangement for members of the staff, boys, and girls students. Due care is taken to maintain cleanliness and a healthy environment.

The college computer lab has the following facilities- Fully air-conditioned six labs. 150 Dual Core, i3, and i5 computers. 4 L.C.D projectors. 125 KVA electricity generator Two 7.5 KVA & three 6 KVA online UPS to provide uninterrupted power supply in computer labs. Hardware Maintenance Lab with System Analyst. 8 Mbps (1:1) Internet bandwidth.

The gym has ultra-modern exercise machines of international standards. These services are made accessible to students, members of staff as well as people in the area with nominal charges. About 200 members are using the facility at present. There is a separate schedule of timings for men and women.

The college specifically organizes coaching sessions for various sports and games to help students excel in their respective sports and extends excellent opportunities to participate at University/ State/ National Level.

The college owns a caravan of eight buses by which girls from more than two hundred villages daily reach the college campus. The college buses are available to students when educational tours are arranged. The college owns an automobile workshop in which adroit mechanics take care of the repair and maintenance of the buses.
