Amguri College, Sivasagar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has an RCC Hostel for girls in far-off places. The two-storied hostel has a capacity for 100 boarders. Hostel accommodation with all the required amenities such as running water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, etc., is provided at a very nominal fee.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College Library is fully computerized and is enriched with more than 20000 textbooks. Besides, the Library has subscribed to some periodicals including magazines, journals, and newspapers of regional, national, and international repute. The library is equipped with well-furnished reading rooms for students and teachers, along with other facilities such as reprography, a book bank, an information circulation board, etc. The library has an integrated digital-cum-online interface. The students can borrow books from the library for a stipulated period. For this purpose, they are issued College Library Cards. Moreover, the Book Bank facility is available for poor and meritorious students. 

The college has given special attention to the sports environment. The college has several sports infrastructures, including a Basketball Court, Outdoor Stadium, Multi-Gymnasium Hall, and Indoor Stadium. College weeks are organized annually on the college premises. Amguri College encourages students to participate in sports activities across the state. 

The college has a state-of-the-art computer lab equipped with 10 Computers with Wi-Fi Connectivity.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The College has provided the Auditorium with a well-decorated and equipped stage, and a seating capacity of more than 1,000 participants is available.

The college has an Association (ACAA), which is a non-political, sociocultural organization registered under the Society Registration Act xxi, 1960 (Reg No. CAF-SWA/2023/0551, dated 28 January 2023). The area of operation shall extend to the whole of Sivasagar district and within the state of Assam.

The college has a Language Laboratory equipped with modern technology, and teaching aids are made available in the college with an endeavor to facilitate the students to learn English perfectly through proper pronunciation and spelling.
