AMCH Salem or  Annapoorana Medical College and Hospital, established in the year of 2011, is one of the prestigious and finest Medical College in the Salem, Tamil Nadu. This co-educational affiliated college is located in a spacious area of 45.4 acres combined with the advance techniques of medical environment and the superior medical facilities. Recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC), AMCH Salem has established itself as a premier institution in the sphere of education in medicine. The college has a total enrolment capacity of 472 students and 160 teachers to maintain an ideal student teacher ratio which helps in student and teacher interaction and therefore provides a fruitful teaching learning process.

AMCH Salem has various infrastructural facilities installed in campus which are helpful in the learning process as well as personality development of the students. AMCH Salem provides the clinical specialties of medical courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The college offers 6 courses in 2 degree programmes and which are full-time programmes. The major programme offered to the students is the MBBS also known as the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with a sanctioned strength of one hundred and fifty students. For postgraduate studies, the college offers MD courses in Anatomy, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Biochemistry, having a strength of 2 students each. 

AMCH Salem has a selective admission policy and only the most qualified students get an opportunity to join this institution. For MBBS programme, the admission is through National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG). Prospective postgraduate students have to write and pass in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG) for them to be admitted to the MD programmes.
