well, it is a very tough question to answer frankly speaking it depends upon the student itself. how much time you can devote and how long busy you remain the whole day. working personals take 12-15 months to prepare for the course. some even complete the preparation in a month. It demands that the high school mathematics and English must be above basic to have a staunch mark in the GMAT.

Basically, GMAT entitles one to a two year MBA course.

GMAT scores are accepted by a lot of elite colleges outside and inside of India

According to IIM Indore FAQs on EPGP

Q. What is the minimum GMAT score / CAT percentile required to apply for EPGP?

A. The admissions committee decides the cut off every year. Last year, the cut off scores were GMAT 570 and CAT overall 85 percentile respectively . Kindly note that this is only the cut off, however, the median scores significantly higher.

Unfortunately If you are an Indian resident, for admission to IIMs you have to give CAT. GMAT is not an option.

If you are a foreign citizen, IIMs will accept GMAT scores in your application. For the top IIMs, 700+ is a good score.

So far only Odisha and Karnataka states have declared NTSE stage 1 marks.

1. For Karnataka state the cut-off mentioned on DSERT website is, 

Provisional cut-off marks (GMAT + SAT total only) 

For general category it shoud be 103, for SC its 82 and for ST its 75
