    General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year full-time diploma program offered by the Punjab Nurses Registration Council, Chandigarh, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).


    Eligibility Criteria

    1. The minimum age for admission will be 17 years (as of 31st December of that year). The upper age limit is 35 years and for ANM /LHV there is no age bar.
    2. Minimum education: 10+2 classes passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) subjects with an aggregate of 40%.
    3. Those who have cleared 10+2 vocational ANM courses from the school are recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
    4. ANM training i.e. 1 ½ years ANM after the 10th class should have passed +2 or its equivalent examination.
    5. 5% relaxation is permitted for SC /ST students.
    6. Admission of students shall be once a year.
    7. Students shall be medically fit.

    Admission Details

    The admission procedure can be laid down by the concerned State Nursing Council /Nursing Examination Board.
