Arni School of Art and Humanities, Kangra, is a college under the larger umbrella of a liberal arts college. It has both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Ph.D. level in several subjects, including English, Mass Communication, Economics, and Library Science, among others. BA and BA (Hons) Programmes: Admission into undergraduate programmes such as B.A., B.A. (Hons.) in English, and B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication shall be based on the performance of the candidate in the qualifying 10+2 examination. The college may conduct an entrance test or interview for specialised programmes.
MA Programmes: The Masters Programme, like MA in English, Economics, Psychology, Journalism and Mass Communication, History, Hindi, Geography, Sociology, and Public Administration, must possess a degree in relevant subjects or allied subjects at bachelor level.
B.Des and M.Des Programmes: The admission procedure may be varied for Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) in Fashion Design and Interior Design, which may include portfolio evaluation, or an entrance examination and an interview as measures for the assessment of creative ability and design inclinations.
B.Lib and M.Lib Programmes: A candidate with a bachelor degree in any field would normally be deemed qualified for any Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib) or Master of Library Science (M.Lib) programmes. Admission process could be through holding some entrance test covering general knowledge and aptitude for libraries.
PhD Programmes: Normally, those who would be fit for entry into a programme of study at the doctoral level in English, Mass Communication, and other disciplines should possess a master's degree in the relevant subject area. The procedure of application usually comprises submission of a research proposal, an entrance test, and an interview with the doctoral committee.
