Ashalata Teachers Training Institute, situated in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, is among the recognized institutions for teacher education and recognized. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education): The B.Ed program of the Ashalata Teachers Training Institute is a full-time two-year program, and it has a capacity of 50 students for the entire program. Students are admitted into the B.Ed program based on merit and these are the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The process will follow the guidelines laid down by the state government of West Bengal and affiliated university. Thus, the admission will depend on the eligibility criteria as required by NCTE and the state government.

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): Similar to the B.Ed program, the D.El.Ed program is a two-year full-time course with an intake capacity of 50 students. Likewise, admission to the D.El.Ed program is on a merit basis, which considers the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. It remains bound by the policy of the state government of West Bengal. It should also provide eligibility criteria as to the admission of candidates based on the NCTE norms and regulations of state government.
