Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College and PG Centre, Davangere was started in the year 1992, is one of the leading Ayurvedic colleges of Karnataka, India. This affiliated college is situated in Ashwini Nagar, PB Road, Davanagere and was approved by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM). It is based in a large 14 acre area and has three unique programmes in Ayurvedic system of medicine. Total student enrolment is 269 and total number of faculty is 39 where the college is enabling learning and research atmosphere in Ayurveda. It has commenced with equal enrolment of both male and female students and well equipped infrastructural facilities.

Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College and PG Centre provides a range of amenities to supplement the learning of its students that include: For laboratory practice, the campus has modern equipped labs, an enriched AUY library, and an academic as well as seminar hall. Students avail modern IT facilities, thereby giving them the tools with which to learn. This building also wants the organisation and proper health with a swimming pool and a gym. In order to facilitate and accommodate student habits, there are separate hostels for male and female students. There is a cafeteria which provides foods for the students and staff and also a health centre with important first aid facilities for medical attendance.

The course offered by Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College and PG Centre is completely full time and three in number, it comprises undergraduate as well post graduate Ayurvedic level. The flagship course of AIM is the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) to which 60 seats have been included. At post graduate level; the college offers the super speciality courses in MD Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) with an intake of 6 students and MS Shalya Tantra (Surgery). Such programmes are intended to give trained human resource in Ayurvedic system of medicine enabling the country and the world to have experts in Indian traditional medicinal systems

The admission conditions in Ashwini Ayurvedic Medical College and PG Centre include national level entrance test. For the BAMS programme qualification is mandatory to pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Under Graduate (NEET-UG). MD Kayachikitsa and MS Shalya Tantra are offered to Postgraduate courses and the admission process will be through the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET).
