Avanthi Institute of Pharmaceuticals Sciences, Cherukupally (AIPS), established in the year 2005, is recognised as one of the front-runners in pharmacy education. The campus is affiliated and spread over 3.05 acres in proximity to the Tagarapuvalasa Bridge in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. AIPS is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and assures quality in pharmaceutical sciences. The institute offers 7 courses at 3 different degree levels, totalling an intake of students at 620 and faculty strength at 54. The admission policy, being co-educational in nature, ensures equal opportunity for all aspiring pharmacists without any gender-based discrimination.

The infrastructure and facilities provided by the institute include several modern facilities to develop the students academically and personally, while the well-equipped library, being the knowledge hub, at the same time, the state-of-the-art laboratories would be hands-on working experience. An auditorium for seminars and events keeps the campus abuzz with academic activities. For health and fitness, AIPS has a gym and sports infra. The institute maintains a health centre with first-aid facilities available for student well-being. AIPS has several programs under the Pharmaceutical field, such as B.Pharma, M.Pharma with different specialisations, Pharma.D, and Pharma.D Post Baccalaureate. The B.Pharma program at the undergraduate level has an intake of 100 students in all. Specializations of M.Pharma will take in 15 each. Pharm.D shall have 30 seats, while Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate shall offer 10. All of them are full-time coursed, which will ensure a full-fledged professional course with complete knowledge and hands-on in pharmaceutical sciences. Advanced Specializations will be offered to ensure the student focuses on their interest.

The admission procedure of AIPS is merit-based and varies from one course to another. B.Pharma candidates will have to qualify through AP EAMCET conducted by APSCHE. Admission for MPharma is strictly followed based on the rank obtained by the candidates in GPAT or AP PGECET. The institute also offers some seats for eligible students via the management quota. N.B: AIPS accepts scores of AP EAMCET for UG and GPAT or AP PGECET for admission to the PG program. This is helpful such that it helps the institute in recruiting only good and dedicated students toward taking pharmacy as a career.
