The Department of Education opened its Honors Course in the year 1976. Since then, it has produced more than forty batches of Hons graduates who are employed in various sectors. Presently functioning with four faculty members, headed by the Associate Professor and H.o.D, Dr. Indrani Borthakur, the Department continues to serve the college with its innovative and practice oriented teaching. One such step forward is the engagement of the Department in running the Four Year Integrated B.A. B.Ed Courses to be offered by the college in keeping with the vision of the New Education Policy to introduce dual courses in Degree Programmes.
