Bajali Teachers Training College was set up in 1992 in the town of Patacharkuchi, Barpeta, Assam. This affiliated college which is also approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and focuses on training student teachers. The college is spread out over a 3 acre area and admits only 200 students and hence, provides efficient learning atmosphere. The institute has an efficient strength of faculty members that exist up to 18 individuals thus, making the institute possess a perfect student-teacher ratio for efficient delivery of education. 

Bajali Teachers Training College has a variety of facilities for the improvement of the learning environment of its students. Among these is a computerised library with books exceeding 4,000 and 14 journals and periodicals that are current. The college provides students with a modern psychological laboratory to make practical usage of the acquired knowledge and skills using such instruments as Memory Drum, Mirror Drawing Apparatus, and Performance test (Bhatia Battery). They also get the advantages of a well-equipped gymnasium, various sports facilities for indoor and outdoor games activities and the most modern computerised information technology facility. The classrooms are therefore suitable in teaching and learning process, making an ideal learning environment for academic professions.  Bajali Teachers Training College offers three full-time courses: BA, B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes.

The admission procedure in Bajali Teachers Training College is based on merit and selection tests. In relation to the B.Ed programme, the college releases admission forms in June in accordance with the notification of the Gauhati University.
