Barasat Government College is a leading institution in the state of West Bengal, located in Kolkata, established as far back as 1950. It offers an extremely vast range of programmes, both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, across disciplines. It resides in a compact area of 6 acres inclusive of its extension, and its student enrolment stands at 3,112 students. The gender ratio at the college is 44% male and 56% female. The institution boasts a gargantuan 93 faculty members with 20 courses in 6 degree programmes, specialising in arts and science.
The college is thus committed to providing a learning environment that is conducive for its students, offering facilities that will result in the academic and personal growth of its students. College Infrastructure
Barasat Government is built on 6 acres land and has Wifi throughout the campus classrooms with well equipped science labs like physics, Chemistry, Botany , Zoology. It has a library with variety of books. It has a Canteen with various foods like Puri, Potato Curry , Fried Rice , Chili Chicken etc. It has sports equipment for playing.

College Infrastructure
This college is one of the best college in Barasat build on a land of six acres . It has wifi ,with well maintained classrooms ,well equipped science labs for Botany,Zoology,Computer Science and Geography lab.It has a Canteen for students professors and staffs offering various foods like Tea,Coffee,Sandwitch,Cake biscuits and other foods. It has a Concert stage for freshers and college fest.
Good with all modern facilities.
College Infrastructure
Good classrooms, great laboratory with all modern equipments. In the classroom smart board is there, all the college premises is very clean. Free WiFi is present for education purpose. Foods are also very hygienic.
