Barpathar College, established in 1987, is an affiliating college of Dibrugarh University in Golaghat, Assam, India. This compact 5.47-acre campus offers various undergraduate programmes in the stream of arts. Quality education is provided at Barpathar College by a faculty strength of 28 dedicated educators toward students from varied backgrounds. Currently, the college offers six courses in its two degree programmes with a focus on different disciplines under the BA curriculum. If not by enrolment, the commitment of the college to the ideals of inclusive education is evident in its co-educational structure.

Facilities - Barpathar College has ample provision for infrastructure to promote the learning processes as well as overall development. Now, Barpathar College runs the BA Course (General) and BA (Hons) with subjects including Sociology, Political Science, Assamese, Education, and Economics—six full-time courses. Duration for all the courses is three years, which gives students more ways to gain more comprehensive knowledge of their chosen fields. The intake to the general BA program is 300 approved seats, which forms a reflection of the capacity that the college has to admit a considerable number. It is silent on the intake information specific to the honours courses. Further, all courses of study are in full-time mode of delivery, hence according to the intention, students can, at full stretch, be engaged in their studies.

Barpathar College ensures that the admission process is principally merit-based to provide adequate chances for well-deserving students.
