Bhai Maha Singh College of Engineering BMSCE was established in the year 2002 is an affiliated college at Sri Muktsar Sahib, Punjab. This institution which is approved by AICTE is one of the multidimensional technical and management institutions spread over 26 acres of land. At present BMSCE Muktsar has more than three hundred and fifty four students and a total the teaching staff to be eighteen members. The college offers 9 courses under four degree programmes B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA, MCA with offers in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.

BMSCE Muktsar is affiliated with the college IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Bhai Maha Singh College of Engineering has modern amenities on its campus in order to improve the quality of teaching-learning atmosphere. This college has separate hostels for boys and girls where they have provided the best facilities of accommodation having bath attached of all students are provided well furnished room containing all recreational facilities. The library is a consortium with a resource sharing facility with more than 22,000 books that includes the branches of science, engineering management and biotechnology. It also works as source for e-journals and periodicals. For the playful learners the college has a magnificent sports ground and court for football, volleyball, basketball, and athletic as well as indoor facilities for games.

BMSCE Muktsar have in total 9 courses that include 4 B.Tech, 3 M.Tech, MBA and MCA courses. All courses are offered in full-time basis enabling students to gain necessary deep understanding and a set of applicable skills in their specialisations. The overall throughput of the students for all the programmes is 354 and course capacity differentially allotted for each course. For example, B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and communication Engineering, Automobile Engineering has total 60 intakes while B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering has 30 intakes.

Admission process of BMSCE Muktsar is also fairly and properly planned to achieve a reasonable ground. For the B.Tech programmes the college accepts only Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) score, a national level engineering entrance test.
