Affiliated to the Thanjavur Tamil Nadu, Bharath College of Science and Management was set up in the year 2000. The college is located on Trichy Road near New Bus Stand and occupies an area of 11.47 acres. The student enrollment with an intake of 2,161 while faculty with 75 strength offers academic programs with a total 31 courses available on 11 degree programs. Particularly, the college’s statutory educational activity is well-reflected in its diverse educational programmes which include science, management, and technology, etc.

Established to improve the learning experience of its students the college offers numerous facilities. There is ample number of books basically more than 4,000 volumes of books and it has dictionaries, general and art books, journals, magazine and encyclopedias on almost all the fields of study. The institution has well-equipped laboratories for differential specialization in computer and information sciences, chemistry and food and nutrition, biochemistry, microbiology and biotechnology and physics. Moreover, other facilities include training kitchen/training restaurant /model bedroom for hospitality management students and dyeing and designing laboratories for fashion technology students.

There are thirty one courses available in the Bharath College of Science and Management, comprising of both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate degrees. The course being taught include B.Sc Hotel Management & Catering Technology, B.Sc Fashion Technology & Costume design, B.Sc Visual Communication, & biotechnology, M.Sc Information Technology & Biotechnology, M.Sc Hotel Management and Catering Science, M.Sc Food Service Management & Dietetics. BCA, BBA, B.Com are also taught in the college and it also offers different M.Phil. and Ph.D. Degrees. All the programs are day programs which means that are all courses full time and come in variety in order to accommodate the different fields of interest for students who have different goals in their future careers.

There are two sections of hostels available in the college for boys and girls separately In mess also, there is a dividing system of operations.
