Bhim Rao Ambedkar College (BRAC), Delhi is a constituent co-educational college of the University of Delhi and it is funded by Delhi Government. It was established in 1991 to commemorate the birth centenary year of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The college has a unique combination of academic and professional courses under the three year Bachelor Degree Programmes. The academic programmes include B.Com & B.Com (Hons.), B.A. (Hons.) Geography, B.A. (Hons.) History and B.A. (Programme). The college offers four professional courses which include B.A. (Hons.) Hindi Journalism and Mass Communication, B.A. (Hons.) Social Work, B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics, B.A. (Hons) Applied Psychology. The college also offers Human Resource Management (HRM), Office Management and Secretarial Practice (OMSP), and vocational course- Functional Hindi (FH).
Location: The Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Delhi is located at Wazirabad Road, Kardam Puri Extension, Yamuna Vihar, Shahdara, Delhi. The nearest metro station, Gokulpuri Metro Station and the nearest Bus Stop, C-4 Yamuna Vihar X-Ing are less than one km away from the college. The college is about 43 km away from the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Club, Committees and Societies:
Alumni Club: The Club organizes and coordinates all alumni activities. The College has been acknowledging the efforts, talents and achievements of the Alumni by honouring them in Alumni Function held every year. The college regularly updates the Directory of the former students.
Counselling Centre: The centre provides psychological support to the students to pursue their academic and personal goals, and enhance the quality of their experience.
Eco Club: The club works with the objective to prevent global warming and create awareness about not to pollute the environment. It regularly organises activities related to the social contributions to the environment.
Equal Opportunity Cell: The cell provides an environment that supports diversity and respects everyone regardless of colour, religious belief or cultures. It also commits to ensuring the protection of everyone including minorities and acting as per the provisions of the constitution of India.
Green Cadets: Through this programme the college aims to build up a team of students who would be trained as socially committed action-oriented resource persons for spreading awareness, promoting a love for nature, and directly working for efficient management of the environment and natural resources and their further sustainability within the college and outside.
National Service Scheme: NSS volunteers of BRAC conduct a variety of activities, such as orphanage visits, awareness programs and health camps. In addition, the NSS holds annual camps in a rural location, where students assist the residents in the development of their village.
NCC: NCC fortifies character, command and discipline among the students. It provides framing for a career in the forces. NCC Cadet Crop of BRAC organises and trains youth and provides leadership in all walks of life including the Armed and Navy forces. It also creates a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
Photocopier Outlier: The College has also outsourced a photocopier outlet to provide photocopy, printing, compiling and binding facilities to its students and staff. The outlet opens on all working days during College hours.

Department Room: Departmental Room: Stationery and photocopy facilities are provided within the campus for the benefit of the students and staff.
Internal Assessment Comm: ICC is constituted every year in order to cater to problems of students. Students can bring various issues. The committee also provides a feedback system in place which provides a channel to students for reporting their grievance or giving any suggestion.
North-East/Foreign Students Advisory Committee: The Cell every year organises an event where the students get the opportunity to showcase their talent and lustrous culture of North East. The cell is also responsible for bringing out any grievances of the North East and Foreign students and address it immediately.
Yoga and Meditation: The Yoga sessions are practised every day at the college premises - (Monday-Saturday) from 7.45 A.M. to 8.45 A.M. The session is supervised by a trained yoga instructor from the Bhartiya Yog Sansthan.
Gend. Sent. & Woman Devp.Committee: The committee is committed to the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women and takes active steps towards gender sensitization and elimination of sexual harassment.
Anti-Ragging Committee: Anti-Ragging Committee of BRAC, Delhi ensures compliance with the provisions of the regulations as well as the provisions of the law concerning ragging is in force. It also monitors and oversees the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in prevention of ragging in the institution.
Anti-Tobacco Committee: Delhi University has partnered with Delhi Police and World Lung Foundation-South Asia to promote the tobacco-free environment. To implement this IP College of Women has banned smoking in the college.
Red Ribbon Club Committee: The club organizes awareness camps on AIDS and Blood Donation at regular intervals in village areas. It equipped youth with correct information on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support.
Alumni Club Committee: This committee of BRAC is a group of teachers and old students of Daulat Ram College. The group provides a forum to all alumni of Daulat Ram College to stay connected and to give back to the society through various activities.
Placement Cell Committee: Through the placement cell, the College makes students constantly aware of the changing trends/demands of the industry so as to equip them with the highest level of potential for cracking the tough selection procedures. Experts from within the industry regularly visit the college for talks, seminars and interactive sessions which immensely help job seekers in their preparations for the same.
Cultural Society: It has the vision to attain the epitome of cultural excellence. It gives its students the guided exposure to various art forms including dance, music and drama.

Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, Delhi, offers facilities of library, health, canteen, auditorium, laboratory and Bank and ATM. The college also has the facility of gym, with modern machines.
Library: Library has a well-stocked collection which consists of a vast collection of volumes, which includes textbooks and reference books. It subscribes to many newspapers and magazines. It has computerised all its housekeeping activities using Library software. This enables users in searching and availing the library resources. It is a host of high-quality electronic databases subscribed by Delhi University Library System (DULS). The library provides access to e-resources which can be remotely accessed through the N-LIST Programme of INFLIBNET.

It is a member of N-LIST (a program of INFLIBNET) to provide remote access to users to a huge number of e-resource. There is a separate consultation reading section on Ambedkar, Gandhi, Nehru and other such personalities. The library is Wi-Fi enabled for internet connectivity. Many CD’s and DVD’s are also available in the library collection.
The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.
The College has a huge auditorium which is the venue for many functions and it can seat 250 people. The auditorium is equipped with audiovisual facilities such as floor mikes, hand mikes, a computer, a screen, and a projector.
The college canteen provides the students with a variety of eateries. It has adequate seating space of around 100 persons with a separate seating area for the staff. The college makes every effort that quality food is provided to students at affordable prices.
The College WUS center of Delhi University (East Campus) is housed in the college residential complex to cater to the medical requirements of teachers, staff, and students.
The college is well equipped with IT facilities including four computer labs, internet access, and multimedia projectors. The college has high-speed internet connectivity with 100 Mbps fiber optics as well as broadband connections. Computer Labs are equipped with two 10KVA and six 5KVA online UPSs for power backup. The college has installed a hardware Firewall for internet security and authentication purpose.
The college boasts of a spacious ground and The college students have been competing at the university, national and international levels and winning Ist & IInd position consistently. The activities include cross-country, athletics, archery, softball, swimming, volleyball, baseball, table tennis, chess, badminton, football, kho-kho, etc. The college has developed its basketball, football and netball field. A new indoor stadium is proposed to be built inside the college.
The College has Bank facility (Oriental Bank of Commerce) which is situated in college premises. It has a fully computerized branch & provides banking facilities to the teaching and non-teaching staff, students of the college and residents of this area. The ATM facility of this bank is also available on campus.
