Hello Aspirant,
See if your friend got a call from IIM Ahmedabad which is the topmost IIM of India then he/she might be belonging to SC/ST/PwD category and cut-offs for these categories are quite low around 60-70 percentile in CAT and also note that these ar the top Management institutions of India they do not involve themselves in such kind of biasing or an unfair means because it will directly affect their reputation.
For more clarity let us understand the complete admission and shortlisting process of IIM Ahmedabad:-

Hello student,
You have not mentioned the diode type, so we are taking it as a Germanium diode.
Now, Forward Bias Voltage / Vd = 0.25 Volts
Reverse Saturation Current / Is = 1.2 uA
Temperature = 27'C = 300'K
AC Resistance = Rd = Vd/Id
So, first of all, we have to find Id.
Now we know that, Id = Is . ( e^Vd/nVt - 1 )
Hence put the values in this eqn, so we get Id = 0.018 A
now, Rd = 0.25/0.018 = 13.88 ohm
Hope it helps.
Dear student,
We have to find the Reverse Saturation Current i.e. Is.
Now, Forward Bias Voltage/Vd = 0.27 Volts
Temperature = 300'K
Diode Current/Id = 50mA
Now, we will use the current equation.
Id = Is . ( e^Vd/nVt - 1 )
Now put all the values in this given equation, we have
Is = 1.46 microA
Hope it helps.
Hello Candidate,
The given diode is Silicon Diode , hence n = 2. First, we will check all the given things, and after that we will check the things which we have to find.
Now, Diode Current, Id = 10 mA
Reverse Saturation Current, Is = 25 * 10^(-7) A
Temperature = 300'C
Forward Bias Voltage = Vd
We use the formula, Id = Is . ( e^Vd/nVt - 1 )
So now, Put all the given values in the equation, and hence we have get the Vd.
Vd = approx ( 0.18 V )
Hope it helps.
Birla Institute Of applied science is a very good college and definitely you can get a very good seat i.e. computer science at your ranking in JEE Mains.
Generally the cutoff is opening at around 1 lakh for general category, so you can surely expect CSE branch from it.
I hope you will do best in your life and don't take much stress.
My best wishes to you
Research Methodology:
Careers360 shortlists over 5000 colleges across domains each year. Out of these colleges, only those colleges are rated/ranked which provide transparent data requested by Careers360. The cumulative scores of colleges are then calculated and they are divided into clusters as per their scores. Careers360 ranks private and government colleges separately as the support system of both types of Institutions is completely different.
Rating Methodology: Based on the individual scores secured by colleges in respective parameters the cumulative score of all the colleges ranked is calculated.
Rating | Description |
---|---|
AAAAA | Exceptional |
AAAA+ | Outstanding |
AAAA | Very Good |
AAA+ | Good |
AAA | Above Average |
AA+ | Fair |
AA | Average |
A+ | Pass |
A | Improve |
Ranking Methodology: The colleges are ranked as per the cumulative score that they have received. The college that has got the maximum cumulative score will be ranked first while the college that has got least cumulative score will be ranked last.
The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
The college has a Gym facility for the students. The institute also has a gym area where students perform their daily exercise routines.
BIAS Central Library has 15,600 volumes of books. Every year on average about 2,000 volumes are getting added. Besides textbooks, the Library also has a good number of reference materials, CDs, scientific journals, e-journals (3000 nos.), periodicals, books of general interest; India, Uttarakhand, literature, art, religion, nutrition, yoga, biographies, health and so on. The Central Library also has a good number of books, tourist guides, poetry compilations, books on forests, etc. specifically relevant to Uttarakhand (Kumaon and Garhwal).Digital Library: During the last few years, IT (specifically the internet) has changed the way in which information and data are getting shared. To cope with this global trend, BIAS has taken the initiative by adding Dspace Digital Library to its domain. DSpace is a software developed by MIT and HP Labs. for the Institute to develop an institutional repository. Digital library in a short span of 9 months has acquired which includes research articles, thesis. E-books and links to 50 open access journals.
The college has sports facilities for all students. The institute has one football cum cricket field which is used by our students regularly mostly during early in the morning and evening hours. Seeing the hilly nature of the institute, this field is sufficient enough for students to enjoy their sports activities. Adjacent to this field, the institute has one cemented basketball ground as well as two volleyball grounds. The badminton court is indoor and students utilize their time by playing table tennis in the common area of the boy's hostel, the girl's hostel, and in the institute also.
