As it is a government medical college, it strictly follows the centralised admission process established by the National Medical Commission (NMC) for the education of medicine in India.
The primary mode through which a candidate can enter the MBBS course at Birsa Munda Government Medical College is through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). These exams partake for the sole purpose of establishing eligibility at a national level through NEET test scores for students seeking undergraduate medical courses in India. The NEET exam is usually held in May and results come out in June or July.
Candidates must have completed education to the 10+2 level with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as major subjects. Moreover, they have to meet generally a minimum age requirement of 17 years on the last day of December of the year of admission. The last qualifying criteria to pass for entering into the admissions will be those set by NMC related to NEET scores.
The admission process into the MBBS course is multi-staged:

The Birsa Munda Government Medical College admission into this course is purely through the merit in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). The admission methodology and eligibility for this medical course shall be in accordance with those prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Candidates will need to qualify at the 10+2 exams held, wherein Physics, Biology, and Chemistry are compulsory subjects. They are in addition expected to fulfill some specified minimum aggregate scores as indicated by the NMC in these subjects. They must also qualify the NEET-UG by scoring above the cut-off marks declared for their respective categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.).
