Ch Chhotu Ram PG College, Muzaffarnagar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College library building is spacious and beautiful, with a separate stack room, reading room, and room for staff and the librarian. The new editions of all subjects are available here. For new and innovative research in the field of agriculture and science, the library has more than 30 journals and magazines. At present, more than 35 thousand books are available. In the reading room, more than 15 newspapers are available. PG departments also have a separate departmental library in the college. The book bank scheme is also running for intelligent and poor students, but preference is given to SC and ST students for the upliftment of their social status. Recently, the library has been computerized and connected with internet facilities to cope with recent developments.

The College. Each department has well-furnished labs with the latest instruments and chemicals. Ten departments of the college are approved research departments by C.C.S. University, Meerut. The laboratories are well equipped to provide research facilities for students pursuing a Ph.D. degree.

The College has Sports and games facilities available for the students. Good facilities for basketball, volleyball, Badminton, handball, Lawn tennis, athletics, etc. are available in the college campus. A physical education teacher, Dr. Sahdev Maan, has been appointed at the college.

The College has a dispensary that has been established on the college campus, where a visiting doctor visits daily. The students get routine medical check-ups in this dispensary and also get free medicines.

The College has had a very old canteen outside the campus since the beginning of college. However, it is being run by a private contractor, and most of the college students and staff take refreshments.

The College has good networking for the Alumni Association.

The College has a very spacious auditorium. It has a capacity of more than 300 seats. The auditorium is well equipped with a light, sound, and communication system, which is more frequently used for academic ( like seminars, symposia, workshops, etc.) as well as cultural activities.

The College has excellent IT Infrastructure facilities for the students.

The College has a branch of Canara Bank, which offers its services to students, teaching and non-teaching staff of the college, besides the general public. From time to time basis bank officials brief about the financial services and products offered by the bank to the students.

The College has its own hostel (Chaudhary Charan Singh Boys’ Hostel), which is within walking distance from the college campus near the college’s animal husbandry ward. In allotment of the hostel rooms, priorities are given to the students who are from far distances from the college and students from the weaker section of the society. Merit is another important criterion for allotment of hostel facilities to the students. For the students belonging to the scheduled caste/scheduled tribes, hostel facilities will be kept vacant until the last date of admission.

The college has a Training and Placement facility for all students.

The college has a National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.) unit under 82 N.C.C. Battalion, in which 52 cadets are enrolled every year. In this unit, both boys' and girls' cadets are trained with respect to map reading, field battle craft, rifle, machine gun, war practice, firing drill, and P.T., etc.
