Incorporated in the year 1998, Christian College of Engineering and Technology is one among the noted educational institutes located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. The institution is affiliated with AICTE, New Delhi, and offers different programmes in engineering on its sprawling 17.45-acre campus. Total enrolment at CCET Bhilai is 149 with a faculty strength of 27. Christian College of Engineering and Technology is affiliated with Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai. The campus has separate hostels for both boys and girls. It provides a comfortable and secure living condition to the students coming from far-off places. For the physical fitness and recreational activities of students, physical activities are ensured through a well-equipped gymnasium and outdoor sports facilities with playgrounds for tennis, badminton, volleyball, football, hockey, and cricket, while an indoor games complex is also provided. It is a treasure house of knowledge, with more than 50,000 books, journals, and magazines from both national and international levels. Adding to this, there is also a CD library and an e-library for the students' assistance in their academic pursuit. Air-conditioned, this library can accommodate around 200 students at a time so that they get the best opportunity to study and do research with a focused mind.
CCET Bhilai caters to the various interests of students and industry demands through its exhaustive bouquet of engineering programmes. The college offers 16 courses, ranging from undergraduate, diploma, doctoral, and postgraduate programmes. At the undergraduate level, CCET offers BE in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. For postgraduate studies, the college offers Master of Technology programmes in subjects like CAD CAM Robotics, nanotechnology and High Voltage Engineering. For doctoral degrees, the college provides PhDs in Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, and Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, and for diplomas, Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer science. The courses run on a full-time programme basis with intensive learning and practical exposure to the subjects.

The admission procedure of CCET Bhilai is transparent and fair enough. In the undergraduate programmes, 50% of the seats in all branches are filled under the Minority Quota (Christian) at the college level. While the Remaining 50% of the seats are filled through post-entrance exam counselling by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh. Hello Swapnil,
Christian College of Engineering and Technology, Bhilai has not recorded very good placements during the past years. Placements are there for CS/IT branch students in companies such as Amazon, Capgemini, CMC, CMS Computers Ltd, Flextronics, HCL, HDFC Bank, Indian Army, Infinite, Persistent Ltd., Shriram Group , SYNTEL, TCS, Tech Mahindra and TEGA INDUSTRIES etc. The average package is around 1.3-1.8 LPA, which is not very good.
Talking about BIT Raipur, the placements are again not very good for branches other than CS/IT, average package is not very high( about 3.5 LPA).
BIT Durg has recorded average package of 3-6 LPA However, highest package offered is better here. It is almost equivalent in terms of facilities, also fees is higher than BIT Raipur.
Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Engineering & Technology, Bhilai has placements from companies such as Adani Group, Ashok Leyland, BirlaSoft , Capgemini, CMC, Genpact, HCL, Hexaware Technologies, ICICI Prudential, ICICI Securities, L&T Infotech, Mahindra and Mahindra, Renault Nissan, RetailOn ,Siemens, SONY, Synergy Group, TATA, Tech Mahindra, UltraTech Cement, Unisys India, XL Dynamics, Yahoo etc. The average package is around 3.2 LPA . So placement is good for CS/IT.
BIT Durg has an overall better reputation among the other colleges and thus gives a comparatively better placement than SSTC. The chances of you getting placed is way better in BIT Durg. Rest other factors are almost the same in both.
