City College, Lucknow is an affiliated college, situated in the heart of Uttar Pradesh, founded in 2000. For over two decades, this institution at Village Uttardhauna Tiwariganj, Chinhat, Lucknow has promised commitment towards quality education, especially in the area of teacher training, reflected in its approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE. The college offer diversified courses as well across various disciplines with three full-time courses to cater to the diversified aspirations of the students of the region.

City College, Lucknow offers hostel facilities for boys and girls separately for out-stationed students to take full time in studies and their all-round development at a conducive atmosphere. The library is a centre of knowledge, housing approximately 1,050 textbooks and reference books totaling 78 and 11 journals respectively. The research facility is supplemented by computer systems with internet access. The indoor and outdoor sports facilities include table tennis, badminton, volley ball, football, and cricket, fostering teamwork and friendly competition. This College, Lucknow offers three courses catering to diverse academic interests. Two education-based programmes and one commerce programmes have been included under the aegis of which two programmes, namely B.Ed approved 100 seats in total, and B.El.Ed with 50 seats. 

Admission to the City College Lucknow is structured on the footing of merits in the entrance examination that must be in line with the state government, U.T. Administration, and the university standards. For B.Ed and B.El.Ed programmes, admission will be strictly on merit computed for marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination. The college can conduct entrance examinations or follow other selection procedures as applicable according to the then-operative policies.
