CL Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Chennai, established in the year 1980, is an esteemed pharmacy college in Tamil Nadu. This affiliated college spread on over a 6 acre area is situated at Rajiv Gandhi Salai, OMR Thorapakkam. This PCI approved institute offers rich pharmacy programmes that includes undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The total students enrolment of 484 and total faculty of 40 exposes a strong student-teacher ratio of 12:01. The institution offers 10 courses in 5 degree levels, practicing the pharmacy discipline diverse in many respects indicating a commitment to overall pharmacy education.

CL Baid Metha College of Pharmacy has a host of infrastructures that aim at making the learning even more effective for the learners. The facility of a printed library is available with more than 7,200 books, 1,950 titles, 34 of the national and international journals, 163 e- journals, and 50 CDs. The campus has 22 laboratories for the students and important postgraduate course departments with additional practical facilities. Keeping in mind the comfort of students, the college has separate hostel for boys and girls. An air conditioned hall and a seminar hall which is fully furnished with advanced audio-visual facilities. The institution also owns and operates sports facilities, a canteen and a health centre with first aid services which improves the student’s learning process.

At present, CL Baid Metha College of Pharmacy is providing several pharmacy programmes. The institute offers ten courses in full-time undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree programmes. These are the D.Pharma, B.Pharma, M.Pharma with the teachings of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharm.D and Ph.D.
