College of Agriculture, Vellayani, is a premier constituent college situated in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It was established in the year 1955 and sprawled over a massive campus of 639.4 acres. The institute is accredited by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR). In total, the college consists of 2,938 students and 102 faculty members. The college offers 37 courses across 6 degree programmes. The student strength comprises 83% undergraduates and 17% postgraduate students. The female dominance of students is at 74%. The students are mainly drawn from the state, which forms 91%, and from outside Kerala, constituting 9%. 

The basic facilities supporting the pursuit of their studies by the students are provided by the College of Agriculture, Vellayani. It possesses a well-equipped library and holds diverse literature and research material concerning agriculture to which students can have easy access. The college has invested well in good IT infrastructure such that students will be well provided with modern technology and digital tools to support them in study and research in agriculture.

The institute has provided a wide variety of courses related to agriculture that start from a diploma level up to the doctoral level. College has given 37 courses related to agriculture, in total having 969 students, mostly full-time programmes with comprehensive knowledge and practice skills related to agriculture. Notable courses include B.Sc Agricultural Hons, M.Sc in various specialisations, and Ph.D.
