About College of Engineering, Pathanapuram

CEP College of Engineering is a christened institute of learning situated at Pathanapuram, Kerala, a town known for its beauty and nobility, having started its academic year in 2011. Being affiliated with the technical college in India, this institution is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has gained popularity among engineering enthusiasts in a relatively short period of time. Located on a vast 25-acre plot, CEP today boasts of having 574 students enrolled with it and offering them a technologically diverse field of engineering streams. The college currently has 29 extremely committed members in the teaching faculty, thus establishing a propitious student-professor ratio. 

CEP College of Engineering boasts of infrastructures that are fitted to complement the learning process of the students. The central library is a university resource centre which provides a print as well as the electronic mode of information delivery to support academic information needs of the university community. IT facilities are also rich, having 60 fully networked desktops envisaged in a 10 Mbps internet facility under the NMEICT project of MHRD, Government of India. Students are equally privileged to have Wi-Fi standing out on the campus. As for the accommodations, CEP has different hostels for the males and females. The college has made commuting easy by running its own transport with six buses plying between the campus and places like Bharanicavu, Pathanapuram, Ayoor, Punalur, Kundara and Kottarakara.

In this case, CEP presents a total of 7 courses, though with an option of under part and diploma. The B.Tech programmes offered include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, which double as full-time, four-year duration courses. The college also has diploma courses under its portfolio that takes three years namely Electronics and communication engineering Electrical and Electronics engineering Renewable Energy Robotics robotic process automation. All courses are full-time and allow the students to gain deeper knowledge of particular subject fields and the necessary practical experience. 

Admission process at College of Engineering, Pathanapuram: For B.Tech admissions the college conducts the KEAM examination of the Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination. This state-level common entrance exam is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State. For the B.Tech courses, 70% of seats are kept as per the government policy of reservation wherein the CEE allots the seats. Also, 25% of the total number of seats available under the management quota are booked by CEE through merit. The remaining 5% of seats are termed 'NRI seats and are divided and filled according to the rank given by CAPE, which stands for Co-operative Academy of Professional Education.

College of Engineering B.Tech Admission Process

College of Engineering conducts B.Tech courses in civil engineering, computer science and engineering, and mechanical engineering. Each course has a sanctioned intake of 60 students. The student is admitted into these courses on the basis of rank secured in the KEAM exam. The admission process is as follows:
