The IUC-College of Pharmacy, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University, Indore, started in 2016 and is a constituent college of the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University, situated at Indore, Madhya Pradesh. This reputed college and institution offers PCI-approved pharmacy courses to its students to enable them to cater to the pharmaceutical needs of the country. Located on a mere 2.5 acres, the college provides 4 courses at 3 degree levels for 324 enrollees. Spread across 24 members, the college has a low student-to-teacher ratio. It offers a variety of programmes in Pharmaceutical fields: Pharmacology and Pharmaceutics, which gives the full picture of pharmacy studies.

There are rich provisions of learning amenities to enhance the students and their performance as a college. Sophisticated laboratories are also available for practical exposition in pharmaceutical examination. The campus boasts of having able IT facilities in terms of internet connection and wireless fidelity that the student may use to access information technology. 

To ensure the convenience of transport for students, the college has transport facilities for the prime locations of Indore, Dewas, Mhow and Pithampur. A commodious cafeteria and mini food courts guarantee students healthy food, which meets the necessary standards of hygiene. The college also has health centres with concentrated stocks of first-aid equipment and calls for ambulances in case of emergencies.

CU Pharmacy College offers all full-time courses in the field of pharmacy education. 4 programmes consist of the 4-year B.Pharma, the 2-year D.Pharma, and two 2-year M.Pharma programmes in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology in the faculty. These courses were approved for a total of 108 students, with ninety for D.Pharma and nine for each of the M.Pharma. Though the number of B.Pharma seats remains undefined, the college has a total strength of 324 students, signifying that B.Pharma is indeed accepting a good number of students.

The policy on admission at the College of Pharmacy aims at admitting those students with the highest qualifications in their respective programmes. Admissions to the B.Pharma and D.Pharma programmes are offered through merit, the applicant’s performance in their qualifying examination being taken into consideration. The developed M.Pharma programmes in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology also require the GPAT score for their admission. GPAT is a national-level admission test for those who want to pursue post-graduation in pharmacy. 

The college accepts GPAT scores, importantly underlining its policy of offering admission only to students with a good foundation in pharmacy. Regarding the details of the scholarship, sadly, there is a lack of information regarding it; nevertheless, the institution of higher education is sure to provide different types of financial aid in order to help deserving learners. The approval from PCI and association with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam University make it possible for the college to offer a reputed and credible degree in the course of pharmacy to the students in order to make them fit for Industry, Research and Academic Career.
