The Institute comes under the aegis of the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology – NCHMCT, Noida (An autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India). The branches in which the courses are offered are Hospitality, Tourism and Sciences.

DVSIHM Meerut admission into the diploma is given based on merit of the last qualifying exam whereas for BHMCT admission is given based on the valid UPCET scores while for BSc HHA admission is given based on valid NCHMCT scores.
