Dr. BMN College of Home Science, Mumbai, which was established in the year 1984, offers a premier autonomous college devoted to quality formation in Home Science and its allied disciplines. It is affiliated with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college stands today on a campus of 1.14 acres in Matunga, Mumbai. In total, 816 students are enrolled at the college, and the faculty strength is 43. Across 5 degree programmes, the college offers 13 courses. 

Dr. BMN College of Home Science (formally Dr. Bhanuben Mahendra Nanavati College of Home Science, Mumbai) is affiliated with SNDT Women’s University (Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s University). Dr. BMN College of Home Science is facilitated in different sections to give the finest support for learning and development. Spread over 4000 square feet on the 8th floor of the Smt. Kamalaben Gambhirchand Shah Vidya Bhavan can accommodate 100 students and 20 staff members. Thus, it is well-furnished, replete with literature to support all academic and research needs. The college, therefore, provides sports facilities to ensure a well-rounded development of the students. The institution is well-equipped with IT infrastructure to keep pace with technological advancements.
