About Elphinstone College Mumbai
The institute was established under the Bombay Native Education (Trust) in the year 1827. The name was given in order to give a tribute to the departing Governor of Mumbai, Mountstuart Elphinstone. Elphinstone College is run by the Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
