EP Odum School of Environmental Sciences, Silchar, is a part of Assam University. It is focused towards environmental education and research, offering numerous specialized programs at the post masters and doctoral levels approved by University Grants Commission (UGC).

In EP Odum School of Environmental Sciences interactive courses are designed to admit creative and dedicated students who express passion for the environment in the admission process. Ph.D. Environmental Science: The duration of this doctoral program is six years and the aim is to develop high-quality research in the field of environmental science.
