24 MonthsMaster of Pharmacy (M.Pharma) in Pharmacognosy is a full-time two-year course degree offered by MS Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore, and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Herbal medicine has been used for thousands of years. As per WHO, nearly 80% of the world's population relies on traditional herbal/natural medicinal products and supplements for the treatment of various ailments due to the belief that they do not have any side effects, unlike modern synthetic drugs. To prove such belief and benefit the patients suffering from various diseases, identification and standardisation of herbal medicines are being carried out worldwide, and the study of Pharmacognosy is quite essential in this regard.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have passed B. Pharm degree examinations of an Indian University established by law in India and from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
- Candidates should have secured not less than 55% marks in aggregate of 4 years or equivalent CGPA of B. Pharm for General Category.
- Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Tribes should have passed with 50% (as per PCI Gazette Notification dated 10.12.2014).
- It is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the University where the candidate had passed their qualifying B. Pharm degree.
International Students, OCI / NRIs, SAARC
- A pass in first degree from a recognized University.
- Equivalence certificate by Association of Indian Universities.
- Proof of proficiency in English with a minimum TOEFL score of 8.
USD 5000 + Other fees Rs. 38,550 per annum
