24 MonthsDiploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma) is a two-year full-time diploma course offered by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, Kolkata, and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (10 + 2) Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education in Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics with 45% marks, or any other qualification from any board approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and WBSCT&VE&SD as equivalent, are eligible for admission to the Part – I of full-time Diploma Course in Pharmacy.
- The admission of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Caste, and Physically Challenged categories will be as per existing Government norms.
- Candidates must satisfy the medical fitness as prescribed below. Medical certificate(s) from registered medical practitioner(s) is/are to be produced by the candidate at the time of selection for the purpose.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates seeking admission to the Courses under the WBSCT&VE&SD should possess good health and physique with a sound mind. They should not be suffering from any disease, constitutional affection on the body, or mental infirmity. Candidates should not be colour blind.
Admission Details
- Selection for admission to Pharmacy will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination or in order of merit on the basis of the 'Pre-Pharmacy Entrance Test' conducted in accordance with the State Government norms. Selection shall be made according to the merit position of the candidates in the merit lists followed by counselling.
- The counselling procedure for admission and selection of candidates on the basis of the merit lists of successful candidates of ‘Pre-Pharmacy Entrance Test' like JEXPO and other admissions, will be decided by the WBSCT&VE&SD from time to time. The WBSCT&VE&SD shall publish the Merit Lists of all admissions suitably on the basis of the valid applications received.
