Ph.D. in Organon of Medicine and Homeopathic Philosophy course is two to three years duration. Ph.D. in Homoeopathy started at Foster Development Homoeopathic Medical College in 2009. The Foster Development Homoeopathic Medical College is providing Ph.D. in Homoeopathy courses in six subjects. Foster Development Homoeopathic Medical College is a Ph.D. Research Center for Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik The college is recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi, and affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, for postgraduate courses.

Eligibility Criteria

Should hold Postgraduate Qualification (P.G. Degree) in the concerned subject of Health Sciences.
Applications for research in inter-disciplinary areas and from applicants belonging to a faculty or subject other than the faculty or subject in which the research is proposed to be done and from the International students (those who have not obtained the PG degree from Indian University for whom the equivalency of degree as per respective council will be necessary) shall be considered based on the proven ability and aptitude of the researcher for such kind of research. The admission will be confirmed after the Board of Research concerned approves the topic.
For Teacher candidates, a No Objection Certificate from the Head of Institute will be mandatory at the time of application. Only full-time regular approved teachers of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik will be treated as the teacher for the benefit of provisions under Section - 17(c). For the remaining, this course will be a full-time and regular course.
In exceptional cases, the candidates holding a graduate qualification in Health Sciences, with proven ability and fifteen years of professional experience, can be considered eligible for Ph.D. degree course registration on the recommendation of the concerned board of research.

Admission Details

Advertisement: The University Cell constituted as per section 4, will publish a Notification in the month of July \ August every year, for admission to a Ph.D. degree course under all faculties of Health Sciences and calls for applications from eligible candidates. This Notification will contain the Number of seats available for registration (faculty-wise, center-wise, and subject-wise distribution of seats, along with a list of recognized guides) application form, and general rules regarding the admission procedure. The rules regarding reservations as specified by State Government will be incorporated in the notification. This Notification will be published on the University website along with one national and one state-level newspaper.
Entrance Test: The University Cell will organize a written test in the month of July \ August. The syllabus of this test and the format of the question paper and other details will be decided by a committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor amongst the members of the Board of Research of each faculty. Interview: Within 07 days from the date of the entrance test the merit list will be displayed by the University on a fixed day but within 15 days from the date of examination the personal interview of successful candidates will be organized at the University. This interview will be carried out by a committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor amongst the members of the Board of Research. In this interview, more emphasis will be given to the research interest/area of the candidate and the choice of the center and guide.
Allotment: After the successful interview the committee will allot guide/supervisor and center to the candidate as per the choice of candidate but strictly on merit, in the form of a written allotment letter. A copy of this letter will be forwarded to the Head of the Research Centre and guide/supervisor. The letter of allotment will specify the date of registration and the tentative date of completion. If the candidate failed to complete his work in the stipulated time period due to any reason, in such cases he/she will be liable to pay extra fees as prescribed.
