Admission into the Gandhi College of Education is put through a process that examines the prospective candidates for possible entry into any program of teacher education. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed (Bachelor of Education):
For B.Ed program of Gandhi College of Education, admission procedure is based on merit marks obtained by the candidate in the extent of Part III in the undergraduate degree examinations. The optional subjects undertaken by the candidate in their degree course are also taken into account. All selections will be based on merit enforced with due regard to the reservation quota system in accordance with the rules of the state government.
D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education):
The D.El.Ed program at Gandhi College of Education admits students on the basis of merit following the qualifying examination. The college holds the right to conduct an entrance examination and/or any other selection procedure, as determined by the policy of the Tamil Nadu Government, better realizing its merit in conjunction with the performing experiences.
Both B.Ed and D.El.Ed constitute two-year programs that equally emphasize theory and practice in education, steering candidates toward a métier within education.
