Gayatri Institute of Science and Technology, Rayagada (GIST) is a reputed organization starting its journey from 2004. This affiliated college is situated at Gyan Vihar, Regeda, Gunupur, Rayagada, Odisha Spread over an area of 20 acres of land.The College is located in Gyan Vihar, Regeda, Gunupur, Rayagada, Odisha with a total area of more then 20 acres. GIST is a PCI approved university to deliver quality education in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. The institute teaches 4 course in 2 degrees and is major in providing education in the area of pharmacy. GIST took a total of 202 students and has 17 faculties which allows for optimum learning environment. 

The quality and quantity of the learning facilities are diverse in Gayatri Institute of Science and Technology to improved the student experience. The institute has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls where they have 50 seats for boys and 40 seats for girls only. A well stocked library contains a collection of 3000 books and 23 journals to meet with the necessary needs of a student and research. It has facilities such as overhauled practical halls, facilities for conducting seminars/awards/function, and a tuck shop/restaurant respectively. Student care is a focal point for GIST with a medical centre that offer first aid and any emergency if need be. For physical fitness purposes a gym can be found on campus. It also provides Internet connection for computer Internet access 24/7 to meet student’s technology requirement. Buses are provided throughout the education, and there are approximately 150 working buses, which makes transportation very easy for learners and members of staff.

The institute currently has three programmes in its repertoire, and all of these are delivered as full-time programmes. These include two undergraduate programme: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma Lateral Entry); and two postgraduate programme: Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutics (M.Pharma) and Master of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance. 

GIST has different admissions procedures based on the programme or level of study. OJEE conducts the admissions for the B.Pharma and B.Pharma Lateral Entry programmes offered at the college.
