Goalpara Law College, founded in 1987, is an affiliated college situated in Goalpara of Assam. This is a recognised institution which offers postgraduate programmes in law and is accredited by the Bar Council of India (BCI). The college is a petite institution, occupying only 6 acres of land, which creates a dedicated atmosphere necessary for studying law. The college has a total of 302 students and has a strength of seven faculties, which provides a small academic environment to focus on personal contact and the academic goals of the college. 

The college offers a 3-year LLB course affiliated with Gauhati University. Goalpara Law College has developed various facilities that could support students' learning environment. At the centre of these is the neat library, a Bar Council of ofIndia-recognisedd library stocked with essential legal dictionaries and texts and reference books ideal for legal learning. The Moot Court Hall, in memory of the founder principal, Lt. Guru Charan Das, offers an insight into the court proceedings and the mess of the legal mind to the students. This is a moot court and mock trial action is performed here, which provides practical experience to the students about the functioning of courtrooms. Also, for activities such as seminars and other functions, there is an auditorium, for physical activities, there are places such as sports fields, and for computerised approaches needed in school, there are adequate Information and Technology facilities. 

Goalpara Law College offers one primary course, the LLB programme.  The LLB course is developed to produce sound knowledge of several areas of law so that graduates would be best suited to practice in the legal field.
