Godutai Engineering College for Women, Kalaburagi  (GECW) which was started in the year 2011 is one among the premier technical educational institution for women in Karnataka. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), has grouped different engineering programmes in order to satisfy new trends of the technical field. Touching a student strength of 374 and Faculty strength of 4, GECW offers quality education for the female students who want to make career in engineering. 

Godutai Engineering College for Women, Kalaburagi  has a stock of a number of modish amenities to facilitate its educational activities. It has well stocked library which is 24 hours, a rarity in Karnataka for a college campus. Situated for 250 students the library contains over 25000 different references and textbooks, 150 national and international subscribed journals and magazines. The institute also offers optimum and well equipped IT facilities, well ventilated class rooms and well equipped practical lab. Godutai Engineering College for Women presently offers 9 full-time first degree programmes in engineering known as BE programmes, which take four years to complete. These include Civil Engineering, Computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering Electronics and communication engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning engineering. 

The management of Godutai Engineering College for Women welcomes everyone and gives admission to students based on merit. The college admits students from different examinations namely the KCET, COMEDK UGET and GATE. Besides, for admission to postgraduate, the college also accepts scores from Common Admission Test (CAT) and Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT).
