Godutai Engineering College for Women, Kalaburagi (GECW) is one of the top technical institutions in Karnataka for women, which was established in 2011. This college has made available the different engineering programs and it has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The admission process of GECW is structured to organize and select eligible candidates for its different undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. The admission process of GECW is usually in tune with the academic year which normally starts in August-September.
The college takes admission based on some national and state level entrance tests like KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test), COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test), and GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering). Undergraduate needs to attain basic eligibility of passing 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as primary subjects from an approved board. The specific eligibility für postgraduates is completing a bachelor's qualification in the relevant stream from a duly recognized university. Application Process
The application procedure followed by Godutai Engineering College for Women varies with the different courses and the mode of entrance given:
B.E. program Admission:
1. Qualify in the corresponding entrance exam (KCET or COMEDK UGET).
2. Register for counseling of the respective exam.
3. Choose GECW and preferred courses in the counseling process.
4. If the seat is allotted, report to GECW for the finalization of the process regarding document verification and admission.
MBA program:
1. The first step involves taking CAT or KMAT.
2. The second step lies in applying through respective counseling in GECW.
3. An additional selection round may follow, but this depends on the institution.

B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering): GECW has established 9 full-time B.E programs, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Admission into these programs is made through KCET and COMEDK UGET scores. The total number of seats obtained for all B.E programs together is set at 374 with the following distribution
M.Tech: Information on M.Tech entries is not available, but admission to postgraduate engineering programs usually depends on GATE score.
MBA: The GECW admits students to the MBA program through the Common Admission Test (CAT). Additionally, the institution accepts admissions based on Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) scores as well.
