Gokhale Centenary College, Ankola Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library is a vast structure of a plinth area of 611 square meters. It is one of the biggest libraries in the Karnatak University area.  The building is ‘U’ shaped; there are five spacious halls in the building. Separate provision exists in the library for serious reading as well as general reading have 136 seating capacity for students and the staff of the college is provided with a separate seating arrangement in the library. At present, it consists of 56,252 volumes on selves and 40 current periodicals in various subjects 83 back issues, 45 digital materials, and 7 newspapers.  Over the years, it has grown to the present form, catering to the needs of the learners. The library is an ever-growing organism.

The College has a spacious ground which can accommodate sports such as Handball, Net ball, Volley ball, Kabaddi, etc. the available courts are used for regular practice and coaching. Facilities including sports equipment and posts are made available to the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College Canteen is located on a spacious and airy campus. It serves delicious and hygienic food. The College Canteen is a large spacious area, with a view of greenery all around, and a variety of refreshments and meals available.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a Science laboratories facility for the students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college also provides extracurricular activities like NCC and Yoga to encourage students.

The college Career Guidance and Placement Cell acts as an interface between the students and the corporate world. The Career guidance and placement cell of the college functions with the objective of providing guidance and assistance for the students to achieve their career goals. It provides awareness of Higher Education or Studies, Self-employment, and Job opportunities. The cell works under the guidance of the Principal.
