A person, who have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with at least 40% marks and must have passed at least 2 science subjects in qualifying exam out of the three elective subjects offered by him/her. Biochemistry can opted if the student has passed PCM and PCB in +2 exam.

The infrastructure of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Santam Dharam college was good. The campus was clean and well maintained.They have their own library, auditorium, hostel for both girls and boys.Canteen food was also good and they had a big sports ground.They have their own small gym for workout.Classroom was equipped with both digital and white board.
The infrastructure is good, campus is really nice. The campus comes under punjab university and the location is very comfortable to go out. College also have hostel facilities and also have all the necessary labs and equipment.
College campus is not much large in size. class rooms are not in good conditions, no proper fans or even lights. fact is that science block don't have their own class rooms, Arts and Science block is collaborated. Labs,canteen,library is best thing in college.
