Government College of Pharmacy, Amravati, was established in 1996. This institute is located in Maharashtra, India. This co-educational college, with a campus size of 6.07 acres, is an affiliated college approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. GCOPA offers various pharmacy-based programmes with 4 degrees across 5 courses for 495 students. The college also maintains a balanced sex ratio, with 52% male and 48% female students. GCOPA offers courses in pharmacy at almost all possible levels to meet the varied academic interests of the students. The institute offers 5 full-time courses which include Bachelor of Pharmacy, Master of Pharmacy in Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, and Quality Assurance, Doctor of Pharmacy, and Ph.D. programme. The sanctioned intake for the B.Pharm course is 60.
The admission procedure at GCOPA varies based on the course. For the B.Pharm course, the candidate gets admission according to merit in the MHT-CET through the Centralised Admission Process conducted by DTE, Maharashtra. Valid GPAT scores are considered for M. Pharma admission. Admittance into the Pharm.D course shall be awarded based on valid MHT-CET scores. For PhD courses, students will be selected based on their performance in the qualifying examination and an interview conducted by the college according to the SGBAU notification and directions.
