Government Degree College, Teliamura Admission Process

Government Degree College which is situated at Teliamura within Khowai District is trusted for various undergraduate programmes under the government. GDC Teliamura is authorised by NAAC and has been given accreditation of 'C' grade. Primarily, the GDC Teliamura admission process is through CUET UG or Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate programmes. This is the foundation national entrance exam that determines eligibility for GDC courses. CUET UG is done every May, though the upcoming exam is to be held in the next year (i.e., in 2025) from May 15 to May 24.

For GDC Teliamura admission, a student must first take the CUET UG examination. This is where students get their score, which plays a huge role in the selection process. Then, depending on the results of the CUET UG examination, the college will make the prestige list through performance. Of course, the CUET UG test is the most important and vital one that counts towards acceptance into GDC Teliamura.

GDC Teliamura Application Process

The application process for admission to Government Degree College, Teliamura involves a lot of steps:

  • CUET UG Registration: Candidates have to first register for the CUET UG examination at the official website of CUET. The registration involves filling an online application form and making payment of the requisite fee for taking the examination.
  • CUET UG Exams: Clear the CUET UG exam during those dates: the next school year, the CUET UG exam will take place from May 15 to May 24, 2025.
  • Results Announcement: The results of the CUET UG exam are then declared on the CUET portal. Candidates should check their score and also download their scorecards.
  • College Application: GDC Teliamura will then share its application process once the results of CUET UG are published. Interested persons should visit the official site for GDC Teliamura for the application form and follow guidance thereafter.
  • Form Filling: Eligible students will fill and submit college application forms that include accurate personal and academic information along with specifying the preferred programme.

  • Application Submission: Completed application forms with the requisite documents must be submitted to the college admission office before the deadline.

GDC Teliamura offers different undergraduate programmes under stream Humanities and Science. The admission process for all of the degree programs is nearly the same with slight variation according to the requirements of each separate course. Admission process for different degrees is explained as follows:

GDC Teliamura B.A. programmes Admission Process

GDC Teliamura has by far offered a number of BA (Honours) programmes under which belong Bengali, Political Science, Education, English, History, Kokborok and Philosophy. The admission procedure for these programmes is based on the merit list prepared after CUET UG results. Each of these BA (Honours) programmes has an approved intake of 100 seats.

GDC Teliamura General B.A. Admission Process

Notably, the general B.A. programme is also being offered by the college. Similar to the above Honours programs, admission will rely on merit through CUET UG scores.

GDC Teliamura B.Sc. programmes Admission Process

The Institute has B.Sc. (Honours) programmes in Zoology and Botany. Admission for both these science programmes is also on merit based on CUET UG scores. Each of these B.Sc. programs has an approved intake of 7 seats.

GDC Teliamura B.A. Human Physiology (Honours) Admission Process

Like the other B.A. programmes, admission to this unique B.A. Human Physiology (Honours) programme is through the merit list. For this programme, the approved seat intake is 7.

For all programmes, candidates who are eligible will fill up an application form and apply after CUET UG results have been declared.
