Government Girl's Polytechnic, Almora, was established in 1987. It is one of the leading technical institutions in this picturesque town of Almora, Uttarakhand. At present, the strength of students taking up the four diploma courses being conducted by the institute is 152, and each class accommodates 30 students. The admission procedure at Government Girl's Polytechnic, Almora is solely done based on the score and ranks of the students appearing in the Uttarakhand Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics, Uttarakhand JEEP. The Uttarakhand JEEP is conducted by the Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education Roorkee, UBTER every year at the state level. This examination has an aim to provide admissions to the candidates who wish to pursue polytechnic in different government and private technical institutes in the state of Uttarakhand.
