Government Institute of Garment Technology, Amritsar offers admission to diploma courses in the fields of fashion design and garment technology. Those who want to pursue these courses can apply for GIGT Amritsar admissions. GIGT Amritsar also offers admission to lateral entry ITI/Vocational/Non-Medical/Medical students in the second year. Candidates who have cleared their 10th board examinations can apply for GIGT Amritsar admissions.

Government Institute of Garment Technology, Amritsar offers two full-time diploma courses in the fields of Fashion Design and Textile Technology. GIGT Amritsar admissions are offered for the duration of three years.

• Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for GIGT Amritsar admissions.

• Eligible candidates have to fill out the application form.

• Selection of the candidates is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

• The final admissions decision is taken by the admissions committee.

• After verification of documents and payment of fees, the seat is allotted.

Note: A limited number of seats are available for ITI/Vocational/Non-Medical/Medical students in the second year of each regular course, comprising 10% of the sanctioned intake plus any vacant seats. Students with a one-year certificate from a recognised ITI can enrol in diploma courses through LEET.
