About Government Polytechnic, Jalgaon

Established in 1960, Government Polytechnic Jalgaon is an educational institution administered by the Government of Maharashtra. Government Polytechnic Jalgaon is accredited by both the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) to deliver Diploma and Post Diploma programmes in Engineering, Technology and Pharmacy in accordance with the regulations of the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. 

Situated in close proximity to National Highway No. 6 in Jalgaon, the campus covers an expansive area of 52 acres. Government Polytechnic Jalgaon provides a range of Diploma programs, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Pharmacy, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering. GP Jalgaon also offers a 2-year course in Diploma in Pharma.

Admission to the course is done through DTE Maharashtra CAP. Students who have passed SSC / HSC with relevant subjects have to apply and participate in the CAP counselling. As part of the World Bank Assisted Project executed between 1992 and 1997, significant improvements have been made to the infrastructure, and state-of-the-art equipment has been acquired.
