About SPMR Jammu
Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu or commonly called as SPMR Jammu is an autonomous institute with its origin in 1955. This constituent college is based in Jammu Tawi, Jammu and Kashmir and has been defining the contours of commerce education for almost seven decades. SPMR Jammu is spread over a large area of 3.72 acres of land; the Jammu’s SPMR is host to 3,510 of its students and is staffed by 23 specialised faculties. In total, the college provides five degrees that are primarily focused on commerce and business educational sphere. It is NAAC accredited institution that offers quality education to the children of the region studying in SPMR Jammu.
We take pride in providing a range of facilities that make up/supplement the course requirements for the students of SPMR Jammu. The College library is a veritable information and literature deposit with over forty thousand text and reference books and countless journals, magazines, and periodicals. Sport lovers will have a field day in the college’s fantastic play ground that hosts sports such as cricket, football, hockey and basketball among others. The institution also has a computerised laboratory with updated software as well as internet connection required in the contemporary word. For the needs of the accommodation the boys’ hostel offer a comfortable accommodation with 39 rooms for about 110 residents. The college has canteen where students and staff CONG gather to have some snacks and beverages at subsidized charges. Further, the college has an availability of an auditorium and conducts seminars and various other events within the college space enhancing the for a of student activities.
At SPMR Jammu, we have a broad and rich learning experience of academics that offers five full- time courses to facilitate students with different courses related to different commerce and business management. Over fifty percent of college courses offered are in business related field and for more detail we have BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Com Hons and MSC, M.Com. These programmes help students prepare to acquire relevant knowledge and skills needed to face challenges in the ever-growing business and commerce industry. SPMR Jammu has overall capacity for 3510 students and this college offers a variety of choices for commerce vocations aspirants to continue their studies.
SPMR Jammu has a slightly different procedure of admission for each course it offers to the students. For admission to undergraduate programmes like BBA, BCA, B.Com and B.Com (Hons), the college has a merit based system. However, for the postgraduate M.Com programme, admission are through Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET). As earlier stated the entrance test is provided by the Jammu University and the entry point to the M.Com programme in SPMR Jammu is facilitated.
This talent development initiative is seen in various aspects of the college such as a Training and Placement Cell that helps the students to devise their future course and get employment. Unfortunately it is hard to find specific information regarding scholarships, however it can be pointed out that the college aims to deliver quality education at relatively cheap price which would be good for students of any race. SPMR Jammu supports the alumni of the college through various alumni associations developed in the college and guiding them to keep in touch with their Alma Mater.

The Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu (SPMR Jammu) is a reputed and historic college. The college has a rigorous admission process for all commerce-business-related programmes. Government SPMR College of Commerce admission process, a merit-based admission scheme is followed for undergraduate admission, while an entrance test-based method would be used for postgraduate students.
Government SPMR College of Commerce admission process for the Undergraduate BBA and other courses, such as BCA, B.Com and B.Com (Hons) merit-based admission, students who can get admission into these degrees need to have done well in the school examination equivalent to a university equivalent to 10+2 or equivalent in merit to qualify based on the academic performance in a qualifying examination.
The marks obtained in the 10+2, or equivalent, examination only would be considered merit to settle the admission process for this programme. Government SPMR College of Commerce admission process for the Postgraduate admissions excludes the M.Com programme, conducted only through the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET). The JUET is an entrance test conducted by Jammu University, and when qualified, students admitted to SPMR Jammu shall also be admitted on the basis of JUET merit.

Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu application process varies greatly depending on the type of programmes considered for application:
For Undergraduate Programmes (BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Com Hons):
- Official College Website or Obtain Application Form at the College Admission Office.
- Complete the application form with actual personal and educational details.
- Submission of a duly filled application form along with required documents to the college admission office before the last date.
- The college will prepare a merit list based on the academic performance of the applicants.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and admission formalities.
For M.Com Programme:
- Register on the Jammu University website for the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET).
- Take JUET on the scheduled date.
- If qualified through JUET, the student could apply to SPMR Jammu as JUET results are announced.
- Fill out the application form of the college and attach it with the following documents –
- The merit list will be prepared by the college on the basis of JUET scores and other criteria set up by Jammu University.
- The shortlisted candidates will be called for admission formalities and document verification.
Government SPMR College of Commerce Degree-Wise Admission Process
Admission is based on merit for undergraduate programmes and through JUET for the M.Com programme. Admission strictly follows college rules and university guidelines.
Government SPMR College of Commerce BBA Admission Process
Government SPMR College of Commerce offers a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) programme. Admission to this BBA programme is conducted on a merit basis. Presently, the college has sanctioned 160 seats for the course. Students admitted to this programme should have completed 10+2 in subjects focused on commerce or allied subjects.
Government SPMR College of Commerce BCA Admission Process
Government SPMR College of Commerce offers a BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) programme. Similar to BBA, admissions are based on merit. Candidates completing 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects are eligible to apply.

Government SPMR College of Commerce offers a B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) programme. Admissions to the B.Com are premised on merit. Applicants must have completed their 10+2 with commerce or any of the allied subjects.

The college is good for getting graduate
College Infrastructure
The infrastructure and the facilities provided at our college are not that good Desks are broken. There's no smart classes etc. Wifi connection is not provided smart classes are not used that much The living spaces are not clean also there is no canteen to provide food
My experience is not so good & it is not like as I expected.

Talking about the infrastructure of the college, as per my experience the college doesn't have the adequate facilities in regard of the infrastructure facilities such as clean classrooms and projector facilities and also they don't provide us with the wifi facilities and their liberary is also not well equipped with the books that students need to do their studies and other courses but they have proper sports facilities as they promote sports activities and provide students with the required nec
