The Guru Nanak Ayurvedic Medical College & Research Institute Ludhiana was established in the year 1997 in Punjab India offers the best Ayurvedic education. Recognised by Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur, the college is accredited from the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). Located on a five and half acre campus and catering to 360 students and 35 faculty members, IAM offers the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery Programme. This is an extensive course that takes 5 years and 6 months in order to give the students adequate understanding of Ayurveda. The course has an intake capacity of 60 students and cost implication of the whole programme comes to Rs. 9.90 lakhs only. Entrance to the Guru Nanak Ayurvedic Medical College and Research Institute is through the eligibility cum entrance test-NEET. The management of seats in the institute follows the norms that are provided by Guru Ravidas Ayurved University, Hoshiarpur. While half of the total seat number are available for the government quota, the other half comes under management quota. As for the Special Management Quota, the candidate must write the Punjab Ayurvedic Entrance Test (PAET). Students who want to pursue higher education should consider the NEET examination dates and the results which come in June.
